Photography Policy
IMPORTANT!
It has always been the policy to permit visitors
to take photos for their personal enjoyment.
However, commercial use and/or copyrighting
of photos without the written permission of the
owners is prohibited.
Although the Underground Gardens are a state
landmark, they are still privately owned and
operated by the Ric Forestiere Family, and
written permission must be granted by the
owners for any commercial use of photos. All
rights to any photos taken of the site remain
with the Forestiere Underground Gardens.
NO VIDEO TAPING OF THE SITE IS PERMITTED
Strollers
Because the site has narrow passageways and
small rooms, strollers cannot be accommodated.
*Stay with your group and tour host so that you do not get lost.
*Children must be within view of their parents at all times, and while this is a very fun place to explore, it is not a playground.
*Do not venture into blocked off areas as they are not part of the tour.
*No food, beverages, or smoking permitted on tour, but water bottles are welcome.

Tour Manners
Forestiere Underground Gardens are a true
earth environment that remain somewhat
untouched from their original beginnings.
Many visitors have related that they find their
rustic character refreshing. To protect the
grounds and ensure a safe and pleasant
visit for all guests, visitors are asked to
abide by the following guidelines:
The Forestiere Underground Gardens are still owned
and operated by Baldassare's nephew, Ric Forestiere
and his family, who have been graciously sharing the
family heritage with people from around the world for
nearly 40 years. In return, the family asks that visitors
please respect the tour policies, particularly the
long-standing photography policy noted below.
Thank you.
Tours are weather permitting
Because this is an outdoor environment,
the Underground Gardens reserves the
right to close without notice due to
inclement weather. This means that if it
rains the day before or the day of your
planned visit, tours will be discontinued
until the grounds dry out or repairs are
completed.
No Pets Please -- only service dogs on duty may be allowed on tour.
